Tasty Grapefruit

Actually, I totally hate grapefruit. I was originally looking for an orange so I could cut it up and paint the slices, but all I could find in our fridge were some really old apples and this grapefruit. Since I just finished painting a picture with a bunch of apples in it, I choose the grapefruit.

You know, even though grapefruits are gross, they're really pretty. Whoever decided what color grapefruit should be really knew what he was doing. This was fun for me to paint.

I know the shadow is a little off. My dad says it looks more like a picture of two grapefruit slices than grapefruit halves. I'll work on it later, I'm done painting today.

So far I have about five pictures done for my AP portfolio, and so far my portfolio is really kicking the ass of the portfolio I submitted last year. I think I'm on the right track toward my precious 5.
