I totally understand that some people don't take pleasure in looking at two men snoogling with each other. However, I think that it's rude for them to flame the people who do. The art here on dA is free to look at or not to look at, if you don't like yaoi then just ignore it. Even if you don't like it you should respect the people who do enjoy it by keeping your mouth shut. I see pictures I don't like all the time, invading the front page and making their way on to everyone's favorites list. I may hate the pictures and wonder why anyone with any taste likes them, but I respect that those people DO like them and it isn't my place to hinder their enjoyment of said pictures.
Besides, wacky heterosexual characters seem to be fair game here on dA. I've seen TONS of pairings of people who would never in a million years pursue a romantic relationship in their respective anime/manga/wherever they're from. I don't really see why it's okay to come up with wierd straight pairings but not homosexual ones. I mean, at least be consistent. Either hate all of them or none of them.

Yeah... even if it is on the front page; it's your choice to full-view and spend 5 minutes commenting on it. If you don't like yaoi, look at something else. Or, put on your big-boy pants and ignore it, deal with it; it won't bite--hard.

Its like how I don't like to see girls with the balloon boobs, but I can't help that some people do. I just have to shrug it off and look for something else.

I like BL, and I understand people who don't are totally entitled to have that opinion, but I can't STAND it when they rip on people who enjoy yaoi because they don't like it.
I also don't get how they complain about it on people's pages or deviation comments. That's ridiculous.

I just don't think it's fair for people to tell other people what is acceptable to look at and what isn't. And if they don't like it, they should just ignore it and not even bother talking about it.

I feel like this; for all of the ones who keep whining, 'Well, it's everywhere, so bla bla', Well guess what? So are all of the hetero parings. So are all of the ones that DON'T MAKE SENSE. So are pictures of some girl ogling at forty-seven different guys, and finding nothing wrong with that picture. Don't even get me started on the hypocriticacy....

Agreed. Most of the time the comments just want to make people draw it MORE because somebody said they didn't like it. I draw it and honestly I don't give a three-legged rat's ass who does or doesn't like it. I draw it because I like it. I kinda think the only reason yaoi is so popular anyways is because most fandoms have really lame female lead characters. I can't speak for everybody on this, but I personally don't like the idea of my favorite male character being paired with an annoying twit of a girl. If others don't mind that, it's fine by me, but I don't dig it.
